The goal is to assist students who want to improve their English to Advanced Level through the development of English language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The teacher will consider the needs of students for them to be able to:
- speak English confidently and clearly on familiar topics
- present clear descriptions on experiences, events and aspirations
- give their viewpoints and support them
- understand English films, songs, conversations, newspapers / magazine articles and online advertisements
- write organised emails, letters, blogs, invitations, diary entries, articles, reports and essays
- acquire extensive vocabulary, identify parts of speech and other grammatical features
- use body language, gestures and other speaking skills
- read from and listen to varied sources
