Of all of the pages on our site, this is one of the ones that we pay the most attention to, especially in these early days of testing and proving the site. As the owner – designers of the site, everything appears lovely to us because we designed it to be the best it can be.
However, for you the E-Teacher or Student Client, it may not be as easy as we like to think it is. For that reason we really welcome all user feedback and constructive criticism. This will enable us to further improve both the site user experience and the user guide in coming weeks and months.
We are also creating a series of “explainer” videos to guide new students and teachers through the various features of our eTeachers platform.
These will be available both here in the FAQ section and also on our new YouTube Channel.
Contact us at any time with feedback and suggestions using the site contact form in the main site menu.
If you are looking for one to one/small group tuition in English/Academic subjects/Hobbies then you have come to the right place!
Our teachers from all over the world have shared details of their qualifications, years of experience and tuition fees in their online profiles and class listings.
You choose the teacher who best suits your needs.
When you have selected your tutor, you then select and book an available class time on their booking calendar. You can send your tutor a message through the contact form on their shop page prior to the class with any queries you may have. Repeated bookings with the same tutor are possible.
This E-Teachers website offers you the opportunity to provide an online class on a one to one or group basis. You can also sell products e.g. books, downloads etc.
The registration is easy – just fill in your details on our form.
Next you customise ‘your shop.’ Your shop is where your customers/students can see what you offer. This is your chance to advertise your classes/products. The shop has details about your qualifications, experience and the amount you charge.
During registration you select your availability on your personal booking calendar. Don’t worry about getting it right first time as anything you enter may be edited at any time in the future by you.
You set the rate per class.
Payments are made to your PayPal account – monies can be withdrawn ( in full) at any time from one week after class delivery, once your store income balance exceeds fifty euros.
The answer is very little! There is an monthly membership fee of €5 and also 10 per cent commission charged per class to cover maintenance of the site and administration costs.
You receive teaching access to students from all over the world and we do all the marketing for you. There are students looking for tuition in all areas – more than a billion people are learning English as a second language at any given time.
· You have your own personal booking calendar and a secure contact form facility for students to contact you via the site.
· We organize payment for you.
Set the class duration in minutes, hours or days. For most classes which take between 30 minutes and a few hours, we recommend using “minutes” as your time currency as the same term will be used later in the form if creating buffer or break / coffee time between your classes on the booking diary.
You can allow one student or many students into your class. If you pick say 5 students, then the available slots in your online diary will automatically be adjusted as new bookings are made.
Buffer times. These allow you to place buffer periods such as coffee breaks or personal down time between your class booking slots. This is also useful to allow for class time over-runs or preparation time before your next class. For most classes, we suggest a 45 minute class with a 15 minute buffer. This would allow you to run your first class from say 09.00 to 09.45 followed by a 15 minute break to allow time to get ready for your next class at 10.00.
Adjacent Buffer times – if selected, this creates a buffer time at both the start and end of each class. So if your first 45 minute class is at 0900, it will be followed by a 30 minute break (2 by 15 minutes) before your next class at 10.15.
Ensure that the “All Dates Are Not Available by Default” is selected as this clears or resets your diary before you create timings for the class you are creating.
